Services and Rates: Editing and Formatting of Websites/Blogs
When you create a website, web page, or blog post, it’s always a good idea to have an editor review the material. The quality of the writing and editing on your website reflects your reputation and trustworthiness as an organization, company, or expert.
I can copyedit or proofread your web content, check all links, and make suggestions or edits to improve the formatting of the images, pages, and navigation. I can also help you enter and format new material on your website or blog, including text, links, and images. I can edit in HTML and on many common website platforms (WordPress, SquareSpace, CommonSpot, Drupal). I can also edit and format your pages for search- engine optimization or make your website more accessible to readers with vision impairments and other disabilities.
Rates:
My fee for copyediting website or blog content ranges from $3.50 per 250 words for light editing to $6.50 per 250 words for heavy editing. I’m happy to talk to you about the differences between these levels of copyediting.
My fee for proofreading website or blog content ranges from $3.00 to $4.00 per 250 words.
I ask that website or blog content be sent to me as a Word document. Once you approve my edits in Track Changes in Word, if you would like me to make those changes on your web pages, or create and format new web pages with the edited content, my fee is $40.00 per hour.
